Getting started with Ciyora Monitor
Ciyora Monitor covers endpoint monitoring, recordings, productivity, attendance and data protection. Its pages are under Monitoring & portal in Ciyora Console.
Before you switch it on
Decide, with HR and legal, why you monitor, what you need to collect, who may see it and how long it is kept. Tell employees before monitoring starts. If employee notification is off, the console warns that monitoring without notice is likely unlawful.
Steps
- Set the capture policy. Choose which data types are collected, when screen recording and screenshots happen (for example only during flagged activity or an open investigation), what is masked, and which groups are excluded.
- Set retention under Settings > Organization, per data type.
- Enrol agents with an enrolment token from Settings > Agent enrollment, and check them under Monitoring > Agents.
- Check the notice. The banner on every monitoring page shows what is collected. Open My productivity as an employee to see the notice they see, and ask employees to acknowledge it.
Live view opens only after a confirmation that states its purpose limits, and it is read-only.
